A First Visit to Lee Abbey Devon

Jan recently visited Lee Abbey, home to a vibrant international Christian community, hosting retreats, conferences, and holidays on the north Devon coast. “I’d heard good things about Lee Abbey and I went with a group of friends,” says Jan. “I found it a very welcoming place, in a beautiful location, and the food was really good. I felt very relaxed there. The meetings were Jesus-centred. The worship drew me into a closer awareness of God and of Jesus’ love for me. The teaching was gentle, but it made me think.” One of the highlights of the visit was a trip to the farm, as the centre sits within a working estate. “I even got to hold a lamb – that was very enjoyable!”

Thank You Beacon Flood Volunteers

The Beacon Centre opened especially on Friday to thank the volunteers who worked so hard to restore this special building, following the January flooding. It was a good chance to catch up and look forward to the return of the much loved Friday Drop-In next week!

Dartmoor Fun

Our children and young people had a fantastic time together at Bernard’s Acre, enjoying Dartmoor and worshipping together. Our sessions focused on the biblical theme of the Wilderness, helping us reflect on our own experiences of challenging seasons in life and faith. We were encouraged to think about how Jesus calls us to be “Garden People” in those places bringing care, growth, and hope to one another and to the world around us.

We’re Back at the Beacon Centre!

We’re thrilled to be back at the Beacon – it’s great to be home! We’re very grateful to Willowbrook School for hosting during the flood clean up.  It’s so good to be together again in a very special building which means so much to us. Come and join us 10.30am on Sundays.

Easter Sunday

Andy’s Last Day

Celebrating Andy & Karena Today marks the end of an era as Andy wraps up his official paid role with Isca, creating space for this wonderfully servant‑hearted couple to enjoy more well‑deserved time together. We are so grateful for their incredible contribution to church life – through both paid work and countless voluntary hours – over the past 37 years. What a legacy! .

Windy Walk!

It was great to meet up with our South West Synergy Churches friends at Steart Marshes near Hinkley Point. Lovely to go for a long, lingering stroll and get to know each other.

Thank You Andy and Karena

Yesterday we celebrated Andy and Karena – 37 years of faithful, joyful service to our church family! After decades of dedication since 1989, Andy steps down (at the end of this month) from his official role, but they both remain deeply loved members of our community. So grateful for all the time and love they given to Isca.
