Today International Men’s Day (Nov 19) celebrates the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We want to honour and appreciate the men in our lives, let’s celebrate our monthly Beacon Heath men’s group -here they are enjoying whisky tasting.

A weekend visit to a church and children’s home in Lipova A small team from Isca spent time with this wonderful community, eating together, worshipping and praying during a long overdue visit, delayed by covid. We have supported this community for many years and look forward to strengthening our ties with them. This image shows the pastor and his family.
What have they been doing? Answer: They’ve been key players in establishing and running the Beacon Centre, starting in autumn 2014. The photo shows them working on Jan’s grant applications. Over the years Jan and the team have applied for many grants and raised tens of thousands of pounds for the centre. Thanks Jan and Rich for your jolly hard work!

Knife Crime DramaWe’re delighted to support this group of people visiting local secondary schools! Who are they? They’re actors from Saltmine Theatre Company touring schools with a highly effective and thought provoking production and workshop about knife crime. Here’s some of our church family tucking into yesterday’s community roast lunch. This lunch is an occasional event, we also spend time together walking, playing and praying in Mincinglake Valley Park, visiting the beach or just having a coffee.
