In the 1960s a small group of Christians began meeting in the living room of a house owned by Jack and Daisy Hardwidge, pictured. They experienced something new of the power of the Holy Spirit and wanted to become a church that encouraged a greater freedom of worship and real experience of living together in community and fellowship. The group grew until the living room was too small and began meeting in a school hall and now currently meet at the Beacon Community Centre.
Isca is a member of the Evangelical Alliance and locally it works with other churches and groups across the city through Christians Together Across Exeter and the Exeter Evangelical Partnership.
We now meet in Missional Community groups and small Discipleship groups which provide friendship, worship and prayer and the opportunity to use God given gifts within and out in the wider community.
